5 days.

I cannot wait to be home. Only 7 more days till I am sitting around a table gossiping and laughing and listening. We don’t do anything exciting. We don’t drink and our parents know where we are and exactly what we’re doing. That is how I like it though. We are raw and real and we talk about everything. I think it has to do with the fact that we have all seen each other grow up and we know everything about ourselves. There isn’t much to hide when you have known someone for 17 years. I love that we don’t see each other for months and nothing is different. We never run out of things to talk about and if we do it is alright. There aren’t any awkward silences. I love their stories about their friends from school and pretending I know them. I love hearing about the kind of person they are at school. But mostly I love knowing that we all have the same problems. We all feel alone at times and we all just want what we don’t have. We all are confused and scared but we are going to get through it because we got through kindergarten together and those awful middle school years. We won soccer tournaments together, we traveled to foreign countries together. We got our licenses together, we got drunk together, went to prom as each others dates and we graduated together. We all moved away together and for the first time we experienced things apart, yet funnily enough they were very much the same things and we still can bond over those things even though we lead separate lives now.
