My grandparents are not the kind of people that show emotion to others. Growing up, I never once saw them hug or kiss or say they loved each other. But the last thing that my grandmother said to my grandfather was, “I miss you. I want to come home.”

They were married for 59 years. My grandfather is going to be so lost without her and I think that is the most heartbreaking thing out of all of this.
